The American Idol Finale aka Soul Patrol, Woo!

Last night, I watched the finale of American Idol and if you are a fan of watching cheesy group sings, then this was your heaven. Some of my favorite parts:

Anything with Elliot Yamin

Anything with Mandisa

The guys' singalong (with the exception of Kevin, a boy among men)

The girls' singalong (only song that was missing was I Am Woman)

Anything with Chris Daughtry

Seeing Prince, who cares if he sold out?

Things that Made me Go Huh?!?!

The Kellie Pickler skits with Wolfgang Puck: it dragged on a little too long and her accent just bugs, okay in small doses

Meatloaf and Katharine McPhee: first of all, Meatloaf was off rhythm singing the first line and even though I know he was supposed to be 'emoting' or whatever, it looked like he had a seizure. Also, the fact that he is old enough to be her father lent a very creepy feeling to the song. Afterwards, I felt like I should bleach my eyes.

The stupid AI awards, total filler and a waste of time.

Toni Braxton and Taylor Hicks: A little icky seeing Ms. Braxton in her minidress and getting all up on Taylor, isn't she married? I understand her image is sexy and sultry but last I heard, In The Ghetto is not a sexy song.

Mary J. Blige hogging the stage in the middle of her duet with Elliot Yamin; anyways they sounded wonderful together so this is just a minor complaint.

I would love to see the AI Tour, think they're in Atlantic City July 23. Who wants to go to Atlantic City for the weekend?
